This report is generated by far more than 200 trillion requests from the 200 countries to Akamai CDN platform. Akamai’s official rankings only take into account countries or regions with a unique IP count of at least 25,000, which gives South Korea the true top spot, followed by Ireland, Hong Kong, Sweden, The Netherlands, Japan and Switzerland. Norway, Latvia and Finland complete the top 10.

South Korea has topped the list with the internet speed of 26.7 Mbps as per the Akamai data and other external testing. South Korea is also leading in term of fastest internet connection speed with 26.3 Mbps. Global average speed of internet connection is 6.3 Mbps with a 2.3% of improvement.
