ALOO BONDE-Heart of Street Snacks

ALOO BONDE

Are you missing those mesmerizing street foods? I am sure you are that’s why I am going to share a chunky, yummy, and of course, filling snack recipe. The most beautiful thing about this snack is that you won’t need any special or extra ingredients from outside rather than you can easily find out those ingredients in your kitchen.
So this recipe (ALOO BONDE)  initially hails from Indore, Madhya Pradesh(India) but you can find it in any of the street food counters. This is a popular snack in Indian kitchens and moms are love to serve it for their children and other family members.

Ingredients:

1 bowl of Boiled Potato
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon chili powder
Salt as per your taste
1/2 teaspoon of garam masala
1 teaspoon of chaat masala
Chopped coriander leaves
Chopped green chilies
Chopped ginger and garlic

For Bonde:
1/2 Bowl of Gram flour

Preparation:

Add a pan and put some oil on it add some cumin seeds and let them splutter now add ginger and garlic and stir it for one minute now add turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, and some garam masala and add mashed boiled potato and green chilies and saute it for some minutes and after sauteing add garam masala over it and mix well for another minute. Off the flame and add coriander leaves over it and let the aloo mixture cool down completely and take out the mixture in another bowl.
For bonde mixture, take a bowl to add gram flour and add a pinch of turmeric powder, chili powder, and some of the chaat masalas over it and mix well. Now add water and make its consistency look like a thin cake batter. After the batter makes small Tikki shapes from the aloo mixture and coats it in the batter when all the bonda’s are dipped in the batter.
Put some oil in the pan and take it in a medium flame. Now add the dipped bonda’s when oil is medium hot and deep-fried the bonda’s until it turns into golden color. Fry all the batch and your bonda’s are ready to serve.

How to serve:

Put some green chutney and red chutney along with some sliced onion and place bonda’s over it. This fulfilling snack is ready to eat.
I hope you try this recipe and liked it to get rid of the boredom of this ban of not having street foods with you.
