BEGGING-A Compulsion Or Business
BEGGING-A Compulsion or Business
Before reading this article, just think about a minute that how unfair nature is with us? This means the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The answer to this question seems to a simple one but when we start exploring and analyzing things then we come up with a solution that is complex enough to understand for each individual.
Begging, a term which holds so much darkness in it, here I am only discussing only the begging for needs of poor people who are known as Beggars in our society. Whenever I travel, I observe that almost in every crowded place and paisley of every busiest market is full of beggars. The beggars are of different age groups, different excuses for begging, and different personalities but there is one thing common between all of them is that they hold the same pale, dull, and dry features in their faces, their faces hold the darkness behind it and stress that is telling about the worry for food, for shelter, for a good life. The sympathetic expression that is given by people for the poor mother and her infant child is like why God is so unfair and biased toward them.
In spite of all these heart-melting looks on their faces, I always try to think about the reason behind their poorness and why they choose to begin streets and public places? Some of them are having good body and health and are capable of doing other work to earn but rather than doing any well-maintained work they choose to beg.
There are a variety of answers to this question depending on the people and their view of life and analyzing things. But the reason which I can see behind the begging is that people are not wanted to work hard, they always direct towards those paths which seems easy and simple to fulfill their needs that’s why they opt for begging as a career, Yes you read it correctly as a career because only 20% beggars are actual beggars who are compelled to beg because of their lack of body disability. The rate of poor beggars is much high and it is very hurting to know that they are unable to afford a good life for their children. The children are used to live in a dark, narrow, and full of dirt and plastic waste slum areas, they don’t think of any other future career instead of begging because somewhere they are used to it and accepting it for their whole lifetime.
But most of the dirty-minded humans are very much selfish about themselves, they are trying to get benefit from these poor children, they cut poor children’s hands or make disable their bodies to used them as beggars. This crime is spreading across all over the world at a rapid rate and no one seems to really care about this issue. Although some good NGOs and organizations are particularly working on it but being a normal crowd we can also do some little things at our ends to stop this crime. We can be fed that poor beggar, give them clothing and essential things to them except money, the reason behind not given them money because if we don’t give them money then those who are using begging as their business will stop doing it. And they will not make children disable to earn money through them as well as those beggars which are able to do another work will search for another option instead of begging.
I know this all will little tough to improve but it will only improve when we trying with our ends. No child deserves to be a beggar and begging is not his future will.
