POLLUTION-A Big Festive Stopper
The reason behind calling ‘pollution as a festive stopper’, I think it doesn’t need any explanation because Diwali is passed in just a few days back. Pollution is the new public hype especially in metropolitan cities of the world. In India pollution is now becoming a common case during the winter season. Delhi and Ghaziabad are on the list of the most polluted cities in the world after Diwali. Although there is no direct relation of pollution with the festivals due to the extensive pollution levels in Delhi and its nearby areas festivals(especially Diwali) were also counted as a major factor.
The major reason behind the high-level pollution is the industries which covered almost every inch land of the city and the increment of personal vehicles of individual among family. The fear of pollution is at this level that people actually frightening from going outside for jogging, walking, and exercises in the open, the effects of pollution are so high even you can feel some of the signs from your terrace and balcony area such as burning and irritation in eyes, irritation in your throat and so on. The sky is full of gray shades instead of blue, the twinkling of stars is no longer available to see during the night. I think if the increase in pollution index is not stopped then the next to the next generation will never know that sky was actually blue in color.
So as pollution is this much high it is important to stop the continuing growth of this, for this government announces to some policies like ‘odd-even Policy’ to decrease the number of vehicles in the city as well as planting some trees on some occasions. As Diwali is the festival of firecrackers and lights then people have some kind of anger in their minds after banning Firecrackers that’s why they describe it as a festive stopper. But in actuality, it is important to understand the complications over the topic and how much bad impacts of pollution are on us.
