Luke Perry was hospitalized following paramedics responded to his home following a 911 call about a stroke. Luke Perry, who now stars on CW’s “Riverdale” but may be best-known for his long-running role on “Beverly Hills, 90210,” has been hospitalized following paramedics responded to his home following a 911 call about a stroke.
His representative, Arnold Robinson, confirmed that “Perry is under observation at the hospital” but would not confirm the reason for his hospitalization. He has since denied a TMZ narrative reporting that the celebrity was placed in a medically induced coma, telling the gossip site and The Hollywood Reporter he’s merely sedated.

Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said a call came in from the area of Sherman Oaks in 9:39 a.m. PST Wednesday and an ambulance transported one individual to a local hospital. Humphrey couldn’t identify the individual by name. Perry, 52, was among the first breakout stars from”90210″ thanks to his job as Dylan McKay, a latter-day James Dean kind. In an endeavor to escape typecasting after”90210″ ended, Perry sought out functions as different as you can, including playing a preacher in the HBO prison drama “Oz” in episodes by 2001 and 2002.
Perry was a cast member on CW’s “Riverdale” since it premiered in January 2017. The show is in its third season. In 2016, Perry signed onto the comic-based CW series “Riverdale,” in which he plays Fred Andrews, a candidate for mayor and father to Archie (K.J. Apa). Perry wasn’t set to take part in the reboot, although original stars Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling are returning.
Ziering shared an Instagram photo of himself laying a smooch on Perry’s cheek and composed, “No words can express what my heart feels hearing today’s shocking news. Let us all say a prayer for his speedy recovery.”
Shannen Doherty, whose personality dated Perry’s and who is not taking part in the reboot, published a photograph of Brenda and Dylan night. “My buddy. Holding you tight and giving my strength to you. You obtained this,” composed Doherty, that has recently come through a battle with breast cancer.
Actress Kristy Swanson, who co-starred with Perry in the original 1992 film version of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” expressed similar sentiments on Twitter.
I just heard the frightening news about my dear old friend Luke Perry having a massive stroke. Luke honey I am praying so hard for you right now, I love you so much, and by God’s Grace you will get through this. Please pray for Luke 🙏🏼❤️ @LukePerryIII
