Premier League Result: Man City Stunned, Liverpool to Take Over
Football, Man! Who doesn’t love this game? Last night have left all the football fans in doing the calculation for who is going to get the title this time. Last time Manchester City blew the Liverpool off the table with its play. That blew off made the title race again open but coins can flip any time soon and it flipped this time. Manchester City was stunned this time by the Newcastle as they took the game with 2-1. This opened the gate for Liverpool again.
Manchester City was stunned at Newcastle, 2-1, blowing a 1-0 lead for its fourth loss of the season. After Sergio Aguero scored in the first minute, it was Salomon Rondon’s goal in the 66th minute that drew level. Then in the 80th minute, Newcastle was awarded a penalty and Matt Ritchie finished for the winning goal.
That result means Liverpool could go seven points clear atop the table with a win over Leicester City at Anfield on Wednesday (match preview), a lead that wouldn’t be insurmountable but would be commanding.

For the second time this season, it was a former Liverpool manager who instigated City’s fall. Rafa Benitez cut an elated figure post-match, jogging onto the field and embracing his players like it was them who now were clear leaders in the league. Their victory was of a very different kind but still significant. It was a result that lifts the Magpies five points clear of relegation.
