Vampire Diaries Season 9 to Come Out in March 2021?

American series The Vampire Diaries, popularly known as TVD, ended its lineage with season 8 that last aired on 10^th March 2017. The fans, including me, have been eagerly waiting since then, for the directors – Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec to intensify our curiosity with season 9.

However, there have been many rumors about season 9 of TVD to be aired in March 2021, but, neither the directors nor the actors have given any statement for the following. Fans have showered so much love towards the finely talented actors – Ian Somerhalder, Paul Wesley, Nina Dobrev, Candice King, Kat Graham, Steven R. McQueen, Matthew Davis, and others. The Fan-pages and ships have been such overwhelming support for the cast, since the beginning of the show, be it shipping #Stelena, #Delena, #Staroline, or #Klaroline, we all have our own favorites. The show – The Vampire Diaries, started airing on 10^th September 2019 putting forth a story about teen high school romance, thrill, and mystery along with wrapping each characters’ persona simultaneously. Corresponding to its ending, two sequels – The Originals and Legacies were telecasted on October 3^rd, 2013, and October 25^th, 2018, accordingly.

The fans liked the idea of connecting these 3 shows together as it brought a new definition to the storyline showcased before us; this supernatural drama had its roots from the popular book by L.J Smith. Though the responses of the audience were jammed with love and compliments, there were some who felt that the conclusion in the end; the heartbreaking death of Stefan Salvatore, could have been a bit related to – “All is well in the end” ratio.

Talking about The Originals and Legacies, the responses have been extremely reliable and true to the makers, people have especially admired the acting delineated by Joseph Morgan as Klaus, Daniel Gillies as Elijah, Phoebe Tonkin as Hayley, Charles Davis as Marcellus among many more. The third continued series – Legacies, though did not have any strong characters from TVD other than Alaric Saltzman, even then managed to pull it off quite well!

Now, the main question, is the 9^th season of TVD being put together to be aired in March 2021? Well, here is the deal, the director of The Vampire Diaries, when asked, replied that season 8 () will be the last season and no more expectations can be held from any of them. So, it is very evident that season 9 of TVD is a very subjective topic and as of today, the planning for a new season is primarily on hold!
