The basic working behind a smart glass is that it can unite sound, speech, vision and machine intelligence. It will have speaker built in it to provide the sound component and will also have a microphone to process our voice as an input. You can then operate hands free for calls. For the vision part, smart glasses use a projector to show content on the lens. The projection method is known as the curved mirror method which will display content on the lens without obstructing the real world view. The glass is a smart one as it contains a CPU in it. Some glasses also provide a camera on the frame which can provide a view for others. With the integration of AI with the smart glass, private players like Amazon’s Alexa or Google’s Assistant can also be inducted into it.

With every new technology comes some sort of challenges or drawbacks. The same goes with the smart glasses. In the education field, some people have pointed out to the awesome advantages that the glasses have in learning whereas some have expressed concern over the fact that too much technology stuff shouldn’t be provided to to the students. Security issues have also been pointed out as these glasses can provide anyone with real time data as in, where you are currently or even invade into your privacy.
