Mama June Arrested for Drugs in Alabama

According to People, Mama June’s boyfriend Eugene Doak was also arrested on Wednesday, 13 March, at a gas station in Macon County where he was heard threatening her. The couple were engaged in a heated argument when Police arrived and arrested Eugene for domestic violence/harassment, felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, TMZ reports. Mama June was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

The two were seen in photos in the back of a sheriff’s truck before being taken to jail. Shannon’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 27, People reported.

InsideEdition.com has reached out to AMC Networks, which owns WE tv, for comment.

Shannon has not publicly addressed the arrest, but she did live-tweet the premiere of her show’s third season on Friday. “Sorry I’m so late starting tweeting the show,” she wrote at the beginning of the series. “Hey y’all sorry my internet has been down and where I’m at does not have cable that picks up wetv but hopefully u r watching,” she added.”

Both are charged with felony drug possession and misdemeanor unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

The 39-year-old Shannon is the mother of Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, who starred in a reality TV show on TLC. Shannon later starred in her own show documenting her weight loss.

The reports did not say whether she had a lawyer.
