National Love Your Pet Day - February 20, 2019

February 20th is Love and it’s a fantastic day to show your love. Whether you are a dog fan, a cat lover or you’ve got a family of chimpanzees sharing your home with you, now’s the day to spoil them even more than you normally do and show them how much they mean to your loved ones. 

If you like pets but do not have any you could get involved by calling from a puppy rescue center or the regional RSPCA and making a contribution of food or snacks. You may also look into how to volunteer to devote a while in the local rescue center giving the cats at the cattery just a bit of your time or walking among the dogs there. 

Did you know that many families in the USA have a minimum of one pet? 

More households have dogs than cats, but not by much, when there are far more cats than dogs in the United States. Pets aren’t confined to the feline and canine types. There are quite a few who prefer the tranquility of birds, reptiles, fish or rats.
