What is Dry Fasting and How Useful Is It? | Benefits Of Dry Fasting
Many people have the habit of practicing dry fasting in order to reduce weight. Some people employ an exercise schedule to reduce weight and some go and workout in the gym. While intermittent fasting is a common thing for many people, dry fasting is comparatively lesser popular than intermittent fasting, but it is on the rise on the popularity charts.
So what is the difference between the two types? While in intermittent fasting you don’t consume food for certain intervals, dry fasting involves no consumption of food and water for longer periods of time. You not only have to stop your food but also your liquids which are included in your diet. There are two types of dry fasting which are, soft and hard fasting. In soft fasting, you can exempt yourself from the use of water for the purposes of brushing, bathing, or washing. On the other hand, hard fasting doesn’t permit you to use water or any other liquid for any purpose. This seems a bit too weird but has many benefits.
For a person who is a beginner and wants to dry fast, he should not straightaway start the routine. You should first try it for 12 hrs and then gradually increase your time. Before you set yourself into the fast, you should ensure that you have remained well hydrated so that the toxin levels are reduced in your body. Once you are into the fast and feel uneasy or dizzy at some point, you should break your fast with light foods like salads. You can also try a mixing up of various other methods with dry fasting to get optimum results.
The rise in popularity of dry fasting is because of the benefits it has on you. It helps in weight loss as you are restricting the entry of calories or other items. It removes the toxins from your body and also in boosting your immunity and metabolism rates.
